CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Biometric methodologies, with special reference to direct practical applications in agricultural and environmental research

EMR DURING MY PRESIDENCY: I was one of the first colleagues who joined the Israeli group in the first discussions for the EMR/IBS establishment and a member of the first EMR Committee. I was the writer of the first draft of the EMR bylaws with the help of the experienced African IBS-member Professor Nokoe. I was the Greek representative in the EMR Committee for the first eight years; the EMR Vice-President (2007-2011) and EMR President (2011-2013), and the President of the Organizing Committee of the 6thEMR (2011) Conference. I kept continuous contacts with members of the EMR and collaborators of EMR who belong to agricultural and environmental scientific Societies, in order to present the EMR as one of the significant biometric sources that could offer help in the field of agricultural research.
